Göta Lejon upgrades its insurance platform with FlexSure™

Improved business agility and efficient development tools for new insurance products. The upgrade will lower the operating cost significantly.

Mantacore AB, a Swedish developer of IT software solutions for the insurance industry, today announced that they have signed an agreement with the insurance company Gota Lejon about upgrading their insurance platform to FlexSure.

Försäkrings AB Göta Lejon is a Swedish captive insurance company that coordinates insurance coverage in Gothenburg Municipality with the goal of keeping the cost of risk as low as possible. Gota Lejon has since 2003 relied on Mantacore´s former insurance platform, which now is replaced by the much more powerful and modern FlexSure.

"This upgrade will lower our operating costs significantly while giving us the flexibility to design new insurance products and to make system changes on our own. We can for example easily alter things like search keys and calculation formulas. At the same time FlexSure makes it much easier for us to comply with the Solvency II requirements, said K-G Berglund, CEO of Göta Lejon.

FlexSure fully met the requirements Göta Lejon and its auditors placed on a new system. At the same time the flexibility of a cutting-edge system translates to crucial business benefits.
"An important feature of FlexSure is the Product Factory module, a design tool for new insurance products and business processes. It provides the flexibility needed to keep up with the rapid developments in the insurance industry," said Finn Oskarsson, CEO of Mantacore.

The agreement also includes four-year support and maintenance with annual system upgrades.
